PRESS RELEASE

On Tuesday, March 1, the Ecology Center and Avana will announce their official philanthropic partnership benefiting the Nourishing Neighbors program. “Guided by the belief that we are only healthy when we are all healthy,” says Brad Ledford, founder of Avana, Avana is donating $0.50 for each case purchased. The Ecology Center’s Nourishing Neighbors program is dedicated to providing food-insecure families with weekly meals, crafted from the produce grown on their farm.

Avana is a new Orange County-based canned cocktail brand, founded by recent graduates of Chapman University, Brad Ledford and Austin Fisher. Started as a research project in his molecular biology classes, Ledford quickly realized the potential and need for crafting a better-for-you alcohol. Using all organic ingredients, Avana is inspired by the vision to create “tonight’s drink for a better tomorrow.” Its additional unique characteristics: gluten free, vegan friendly, 0g sugar, less than 1g of carbs, have helped Avana gain substanial loyalty from its consumers. Avana can be found at retail stores throughout Orange County, including Mother’s Market and Total Wine.

The Ecology Center is a 28-acre Regenerative Organic Certified™ farm and education center located in San Juan Capistrano. Their ecological experiences and programs have engaged 150,000+ people to unite and help create sustainable and regenerative solutions for thriving on planet Earth. The Ecology Center has a variety of ways to get involved, for all ages and interests, which can be found on their website.
